All night long the wind blew with large gusts and it continued on all day until about 6 p.m.
I spent the morning on the phone with our insurance company now that we are official South Dakota residents. The insurance company we had been with wanted an additional $800 a year. I knew the cost could be more but not that much more. Luckily, we were able to find another provider that will give us the same coverage for about the same cost we had been paying.
I called MotoSat tech support and was hoping to get the technician I worked with on Saturday. I left a message but it was likely he would not be able to get back to me today; he didn't.
While we were killing time, John and I worked out our path with layovers as we make our way to the Life on Wheels conference in Lewiston, ID that is to begin July 6. We are leaving Custer on Sunday, 6/22, and heading up to North Dakota for a couple of days. We were able to get reservations close to Yellowstone for four days that we are extremely happy about. We also discussed our route once we leave Lewiston to head to Seattle as Melissa is flying up to meet us on July 26. We are looking to spending some quality time with our daughter.
Speaking of Melissa, she gave us a call today all heartbroken because she came to the conclusion that she had to find a new home for her cat, Blackie. Her other cat, Hayden, has had behavioral problems in the past and has been on Prozac which has worked out well until now. Melissa feels that she has no choice but to give Blackie over to a new home in hopes that Hayden will cease with her behavioral problem. Melissa loves them both but feels that Hayden would not be accepted in to a new home and would be put down which is not what she wants. No easy decision, that is for sure. When you open your heart to pets, sometimes hard decisions have to be made.
