Dinner Out

As we are losing one of our Exceler couples tomorrow, tonight was the night for a send-off dinner for Bruce and Jenna.  We all gathered at a local restaurant called El Charro for a fine evening of dining and conversation.  From left to right, Y, me, John, Rick, Ralph, Cheryl, Bruce, Jenna, Mary Gail, and Bobby.  Thanks for the photo Bruce.

We are sure going to miss our neighbors, Bruce and Jenna, along with wonder dog, Clancy. We wish you safe travels and hope our paths cross again somewhere down the road.

Happy Valentines Day

This morning, we saw a storm pass through that dropped some rain along with snow in the Tucson area.  Looked out our back window and saw this unusual and beautiful view on the Tucson Mountains:

Snow lasted maybe an hour or so and then it slowly melted away.  Sure was pretty while it lasted.

Hope you were able to spend the day with the one you love.  I know I did :)

All's quiet here in Tucson

I always know when I have neglected to update the blog for a while because either my sister calls me to make sure everything is all right (always nice to talk to you Jan) or a friend emails me the same type question LOL.  We are doing great just not doing much as far as touristy items go.

Let's see what have we been up to besides the normal shopping/domestics kind of things:  we've been to the movies (saw Red Tails - we both liked it), have seen friends, Ralph and Cheryl, arrive at the park on Tuesday so that evening us Excel people (Ralph, Cheryl, Rick and Y, Bruce and Jenna, and John and I went to dinner at Tiny's and a good time was had by all and of course, the usual card games a few times a week at Rick and Y's.  We are content just nothing really exciting to write about at this time.

Ralph and Cheryl took a tour to Africa last September that was lead by the owner (Doc Justin) of the RV park we are all staying.  They had a wonderful time and have some gorgeous pictures.  That really was a trip of a lifetime.  Cheryl let Y and I choose from some of the mementos they brought back.  I chose a small metal wart hog that I named Pumbaa after the wart hog in the Lion King.  Thank you Ralph and Cheryl for your generosity and I will always think of you both when I look at Pumbaa.

So that is about it for now.  Until next time . . .
