Valentine's Day

Day started off quietly. I placed a call to the state park we want to go to and with it being a holiday weekend, it is rather full. We decided to extend one more day so that we don't have to contend with the holiday campers or possibly not get a spot.

John got the kayaks washed and we got them loaded up on the truck. The bicycles also got loaded into the truck. We are getting closer to hitting the road!

We went in to Quartzsite for pizza at Silly Al's for lunch. Actually, the pizza was pretty darn good as it has been ages since we have had a pizza. We then stopped at the store to pick up a few groceries and headed home.

Once back home, we were able to watch the Tour of California on satellite. The initial day of the bike race was held in our hometown of Sacramento. It was nice to see the State Capitol and the surrounding area. We actually thought the downtown area looked pretty good from the air shots we saw.

We gave Melissa a call to see what she was up too. As always, we had a nice chat. Sometimes, I just need to hear her voice. Then it was off to Bingo. Nope we didn't win this time either but Bob (Brenda) did win one game. Actually, the paper I had this week was the best I've had in the whole month as I actually got close a few times.

Did a little bit of reading after we got home before we headed off to bed.
