Reader's Oasis Books & hair cut

We decided to go the local bookstore that has character . . . or at least is run by a character. The Reader's Oasis Books is a very eclectic used bookstore on Main Street on the East side of town. The owner is a nudist and when we saw him, he had on only a cowboy hat, vest, a sack where his family jewels are stored, and flip flops. We knew what to expect so it wouldn't come as a surprise but it still was. He was coming out as we were going in and then he bent down in front of us. Oh no . . . that was far more than we ever wanted to see. The guy must shave or wax because he had no body hair except on his face and head. John said to me while we were in the store, he is too much of a distraction. The guy willingly has his picture taken with patrons and even has some of them on display. Nope, no pictures with me or for me as I made sure the camera was left as home.

The bookstore has a little bit of everything that goes back to the 50's at least. It was very interesting to go through. John thought the guy's prices on his books were a little high for a used book store but he must be making a living. Definitely worth a visit should you ever be in the area.

We stopped at the market to pick up a few items and then headed home. I had a haircut appointment here at the park at the Clip Shop. The haircut was $12 and was okay. I have paid three times that for a bad haircut; like the one I got in Port Angeles, WA. While I was getting clipped, John went out for a bike ride. He said he had wind in almost every direction and was rather tired when he got home.

The evening was spent settled in reading and watching TV.
