Quartzsite - 2nd trip

We took the shuttle our RV park has available to Quartzsite this morning for a little shopping. We were probably at least 20 years younger than our co-riders; that was pretty strange. It was nice, however, not to deal with all the traffic and parking. We ended up buying some items that we were going to buy on-line so it saved us shipping charges. We were done by noon but had to wait until 1 p.m. for the shuttle to pick us up. We spent the last half hour in a nice conversation with another park shuttle rider who was done shopping as well.

We got home, had lunch, and then enjoyed watching the quail run from one side of the field to the other and back again. They were quite chatty. We also had a cottontail that was also going back and forth. I've got two hummingbird feeders out that to our knowledge have not been visited although they are in the park. We actually saw a Wren land on the seed ball we have hanging on the fence and then go to the bird feeder. Yeah! Maybe the hummingbirds will soon discover the feeders soon.

After our evening walk around the park, we stopped at Jack and Laura's fifth wheel and had a nice conversation with them. They gave us a tour of their Grand Junction and then they came over to see our Excel. We sat and talked some more until they left to watch American Idol. Jack is recently retired from AT&T from Redding, CA. Small world isn't it?
