We were woken up early this morning with the smell of smoke. We learned that there was a control burn going on in the Lassen National Park area. The sky was gray and the air was so smokey that we kept the windows closed up and pretty much stayed indoors. We did make a trip to the office to pick up our mail and chatted with Kristen in the office. I also got a name of a hair salon here in Red Bluff as I am needing a trim. Thankfully, the wind picked up and blew most of the smoke smell out. It started to sprinkle late afternoon which was a good thing as that also helped with lessening the smoke smell. When we headed out to the pool, the rain had stopped and it made for nice evening.
We came back home and watched a little TV before heading off to bed.
