We started the day by going into Moab to go to their Farmers Market. What a disappointment - some produce and a few other stands of stuff. Made another stop at the Post Office where Rick picked up some mail for them but our errant mail still has not arrived. Oh well.
Rick was eager to do some four wheeling and chose an easy rated Jeep trail (a two out of four rated) named Gemini Bridges and we were off. After much bumping and thumping, we made it up to Gemini Bridges. The views were very nice. In the process, two geocaches were found. Rick and Y left behind the Jeep travel bug they picked up at an earlier cache find in either Montana or Idaho (I can't remember where).

We ran into a couple of nice BLM Rangers and chatted for a while. The one was out Cortez, CO and said if we made it down to Mesa Verde NP and the Canyons of the Ancients, NM to give him a call (he gave us his business card) and he would give us a private tour. How nice was that?
We went down into Burns Canyon and came across a number of motorcycle and ATV enthusiasts having fun in the sand. We made a pit stop for a potty break and when we started out, discovered that we were high center on a rock. John and Rick got out to look over the situation. John spotted Rick and together they were able to get us off the rock with no damage to the Jeep. Whew! It also brought to the forefront how one should travel with another vehicle when you go out in the middle of nowhere because you just never know what might happen along the way.
On the way out, we passed a formation we called Eagle Rock.

It was an interesting experience but I'm not too sure that I will become an off-road enthusiast any time soon.
