John and I walked around some of the vendor sites and bought a few items. Me, a new hat with a wide brim (all this Arizona sun), flax seed, water filter, and black tank enzyme. We stopped for lunch, went to the grocery store, and got propane.
Later, after we got home, we took a walk. We were stopped by two search and rescue people wanting to know if we had seen a 67 year old woman from our camp area who had gone for a walk earlier that morning but had not returned. We had not. I asked if she was ill and they said no, she was in great health. Her husband did not know which direction she had gone. There were searchers on horseback, ATVs, plane, and helicopter looking for her. This news was quite disturbing to us. We pray that she was found safe and sound. This experience got us talking about being safe when you are in unfamiliar areas.
Later that night, we sat outside under the glorious sky. The desert sky is spectacular . . . I never knew so many stars existed.
