Countdown begins

We are all set to leave Tucson on Friday, April 6.  How do you spell hitch itch?  We are soooo ready to get the wheels rolling.

Not too much to write about although we (Rick, Y, John, and myself) went up to Phoenix to attend the Good Sam Rally on the 22nd and 23rd.  We picked up a few goodies and looked at some of the rigs.  Not in the market ourselves but did check out the custom builders that Rick and Y are considering for their next rig.  

We spent the right at a Red Roof Inn and weren't at all impressed with the motel (no blow dryer or coffee maker - really?).  I know we got a discount rate via Hotels.com but those two items seem like such basic items they should be included in all rooms these days.  I was able to go to the Front Desk and get a blow dryer to use.  Sheesh.  The mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable.  We were more than happy to get home to our own bed.

We ran in to friends, Steve and Michelle, at the GS Rally on Friday and made arrangements to meet for lunch before we headed back to Tucson.  We had a good time and a lot of laughter was shared.

The past few days it has been getting awfully warm.  We broke down yesterday and turned on the air conditioners when we left to run some errands.  The past few days without AC had left us feeling so lethargic come late afternoon. Whoo hoo, when we returned home, it was sure nice to come in to a cool rig.  Can we say it is a dry heat - 7% humidity.  No wonder I am using up the hand cream LOL.

The saguaro's and cactus are starting to get buds on them but it looks like we will miss their blooms this year that is perfectly ok with us.

We will be heading up to Prescott for a week where it will be cooler, will check out the town, and visit with friends Bruce and Jenna who just gave up their wandering ways by buying a home and settling down there.  Then we are off to the Grand Canyon for a few days.
